Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms define the conditions and procedures for using the calendar synchronization service provided by Syncalendars (hereinafter "Service"), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and service providers.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" refers to the calendar synchronization and related ancillary services provided by Syncalendars.
- "User" refers to a person who agrees to these terms and uses the Service.
- "Paid Service" refers to services that require users to pay a separate fee.
- "Account" refers to the combination of email and password set by the user for identification and service use.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
- These terms take effect when posted on the service screen or notified to users by other means.
- The Service may amend these terms as necessary within the scope that does not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
- When amending terms, the Service shall post the revised terms along with the current terms on the service's main page, specifying the effective date and reasons for amendment, at least 7 days before the effective date.
- If a user does not agree to the amended terms, they may discontinue use of the service and withdraw. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the amended terms shall be deemed consent to the amendment.
Article 4 (Service Provision)
The Service provides the following functions:
- Event synchronization between Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Notion Calendar
- Task synchronization between Google Tasks, Apple Reminders, and Notion
- Real-time bidirectional synchronization
- Other additional features as determined by the Service
The Service aims to provide service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However, service may be partially or fully restricted or suspended due to system maintenance, server expansion or replacement, or network instability.
Article 5 (Membership Registration and Eligibility)
- Those who wish to use the Service shall apply for membership through the registration procedure established by the Service.
- Children under 14 years of age cannot register for the Service.
- Membership registration must be made with the applicant's own information. Use of another person's information or registration of false information may result in restrictions on service use.
Article 6 (Paid Services and Payment)
- The Service offers a free plan and paid plans (Basic, Pro). Fees and payment methods for paid plans are posted on the pricing page within the Service.
- Fees for paid services are paid in advance, and paid services can be used from the time of payment completion.
- For recurring payments (subscriptions), payment is automatically processed on the payment date unless the user cancels.
- The Service provides payment services through a payment processor (Polar), and payment-related information is processed according to the payment processor's policies.
Article 7 (Withdrawal and Refund)
- Users may request withdrawal within 7 days from the payment date for paid services. However, if the service has already been used, a refund will be issued after deducting the amount corresponding to the days of use.
- Refunds may be restricted in the following cases: 1) When service use is impossible due to the user's fault, 2) When the user has already used a substantial portion of the service.
- Refund requests can be made through the Contact Us feature within the Service, and refunds are processed within 3 business days of the request.
- Depending on the payment method, the payment processor's refund policy may apply.
Article 8 (Service Termination and Withdrawal)
- Users may request service termination (withdrawal) at any time through settings within the Service or Contact Us.
- Upon termination request, all user data is retained for a certain period in accordance with relevant laws and then deleted.
- If terminating while using paid services, refunds for the remaining period are subject to Article 7 (Withdrawal and Refund).
- Data recovery is not possible upon re-registration after termination.
Article 9 (User Obligations)
- Users must comply with relevant laws, these terms, and usage guidelines when using the Service.
- Users must not steal others' information or register false information.
- Users must not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, or broadcast information obtained through the Service or provide it to third parties without prior consent.
- Users must not engage in activities that interfere with the stable operation of the Service.
Article 10 (Restriction of Service Use)
The Service may restrict or suspend a user's service use in the following cases:
- When deliberately interfering with service operations
- When damaging others' reputation or causing disadvantage
- When interfering with stable service operation
- When violating other relevant laws or service terms
Article 11 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- Intellectual property rights for services, software, trademarks, logos, etc. provided by the Service belong to the Service.
- Users may not use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it without prior consent from the Service.
- Copyright for content posted by users on the Service belongs to the respective users.
Article 12 (Disclaimer)
- The Service is exempt from liability when unable to provide service due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, or telecommunications service interruption.
- The Service is not responsible for service use issues caused by user's fault.
- The Service is not responsible for damages resulting from information obtained through the Service.
- The Service is not responsible for damages caused by failures of third-party services (Google, Apple, Notion, etc.) that users have linked.
Article 13 (Damages)
- If damage occurs to a user due to intentional or gross negligence of the Service, the Service shall compensate the user for actual damages incurred.
- The Service's liability for damages is limited to the most recent one month of fees paid by the user for paid services.
- The Service is not liable for damages related to the use of free services. However, this excludes cases of intentional or gross negligence by the Service.
Article 14 (Dispute Resolution)
Lawsuits regarding disputes between the Service and users shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the court having jurisdiction over the Service's headquarters shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes between the Service and users may go through mediation procedures of relevant organizations such as the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Resolution Committee.
These terms are effective as of January 1, 2025.
