Syncalendars (hereinafter "Service") collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

  • Member registration and management: Member identification, service eligibility verification
  • Service provision: Calendar synchronization, task synchronization services
  • Payment processing: Processing payments and refunds for paid services
  • Customer support: Inquiry response, notice delivery
  • Service improvement: Service usage statistics analysis, new service development

2. Personal Information Items Collected

The Service collects the following personal information:

  • Required items: Email address, password (encrypted storage)
  • Optional items: Name, profile image
  • Payment information: Payment method, payment history (processed through payment processor)
  • Automatically collected: Access logs, IP address, cookies, service usage records
  • Linked service information: Access to calendar and task data from Google, Apple, Notion accounts

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

The Service promptly destroys personal information after the purpose of collection and use is achieved. However, certain information is retained for a period as required by relevant laws:

  • Records regarding contracts or withdrawal: 5 years
  • Records regarding payment and supply of goods: 5 years
  • Records regarding consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years
  • Website visit records: 3 months

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Service does not, in principle, provide users' personal information to third parties. However, exceptions are made in the following cases:

  • When the user has given prior consent
  • When required by law or when requested by investigative agencies according to legal procedures and methods

5. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing

The Service entrusts personal information processing as follows for smooth service provision:

  • Firebase (Google LLC): Member authentication, data storage and management
  • Polar: Payment processing and subscription management
  • Resend: Email delivery service

We have established necessary provisions to ensure personal information is safely managed in entrustment contracts.

6. Overseas Transfer of Personal Information

The Service transfers personal information overseas for processing as follows:

  • Recipients: Google LLC (Firebase), Polar Inc., Resend Inc.
  • Countries of transfer: United States
  • Items transferred: Email, service usage records, payment information
  • Purpose of transfer: Cloud server operation, payment processing, email delivery
  • Retention and use period: Until membership withdrawal or termination of entrustment contract

The receiving companies take appropriate security measures to protect personal information.

7. Measures to Ensure Personal Information Security

The Service takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:

  • Password encryption: User passwords are encrypted for storage and management.
  • SSL/TLS encryption: All data communication is encrypted with SSL/TLS.
  • Access control: Access to personal information is limited to a minimum number of personnel.
  • Security programs: Security systems are operated to prevent hacking.

8. User Rights

Users may exercise the following rights:

  • Request to view personal information
  • Request to correct or delete personal information
  • Request to stop processing personal information
  • Request for membership withdrawal and account deletion

9. Protection of Children Under 14

The Service does not allow membership registration for children under 14 years of age. If it is confirmed that a child under 14 has registered, the account will be deleted and the collected personal information will be destroyed immediately.

10. Use of Cookies

The Service uses cookies to provide personalized services to users. Users can refuse cookie storage through web browser settings, but this may cause difficulties in using the service.

The Service designates a Personal Information Protection Officer to oversee personal information processing and handle user complaints and damage relief.

13. Changes to Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be added to, deleted from, or modified according to changes in laws, policies, or security technology. Changes will be announced through service notices at least 7 days before the effective date.
